How do I get started with Kizashi?
Simply download the app from the App Store and start using it. There's no account creation, registration, or setup required. Tap a symbol to record your state. It's that simple.
What are the symbols for?
The 18 symbols represent universal archetypes that capture the essence of your internal state. They allow you to record how you feel without the weight of words. Each symbol has meaning, but that meaning is yours to interpret.
How does the timeline work?
The timeline shows your symbols in chronological order, creating a visual flow of your patterns over time. There are no metrics, statistics, or analysis. Just pure observation of what emerges.
Does the app work offline?
Yes, Kizashi works completely offline. All your symbols and timeline data are stored locally on your device. No internet connection is required.
How do I delete my data?
You have complete control. Go to Settings > Data & Privacy > Delete All Data. This will permanently remove all your symbols and timeline entries. There's no cloud backup, so deletion is permanent.
Can I export my data?
Currently, Kizashi focuses on pure observation without export features. Your data stays on your device, allowing you to notice patterns without the distraction of analysis.
Is the app really private?
Yes. Kizashi collects no personal information, requires no accounts, and stores all data locally on your device. Your symbols and patterns stay completely private.
What if I want to understand my patterns better?
Kizashi is designed for observation, not analysis. The app lets patterns reveal themselves naturally without forcing interpretation. If you're looking for analytics, Kizashi may not be the right tool for you, and that's intentional.
Troubleshooting
App won't open
Try restarting your device. If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall the app. Your data is stored locally, so make sure you're okay with losing it before reinstalling.
Data seems to be missing
Check if you're on the same device where you created the data. The app stores data locally, so it won't sync across devices. If you've recently updated the app, try restarting it.
App feels slow
Try closing other apps to free up memory. Kizashi is designed to be lightweight, so performance should be smooth. If issues persist, try restarting your device.
Can't see my timeline
Make sure you've recorded at least one symbol. The timeline builds as you record your state over time. If you've recorded symbols and still don't see them, try restarting the app.
