You must be able to enter a binding agreement in your region. If you are under the age of digital consent where you live, a parent or guardian must permit use.
What Notara Provides
Notara provides software to record and organise information on your device. It is provided "as is" and "as available." Features may change with updates.
No Legal or Professional Advice
Nothing in the app or on matthewkerr.org is legal, medical, or professional advice. You are responsible for how you use your records and exports.
Your Content
You retain rights to the content you create. You are responsible for its accuracy and for complying with laws when you record, store, or share information about others.
Acceptable Use
Do not use Notara for unlawful harassment, stalking, or to harm others. Do not attempt to break the app's security or others' devices.
Exports and Sharing
When you export or share data, you choose the channel (email, cloud storage, etc.). Matthew Kerr is not responsible for those third-party services.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Matthew Kerr is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of Notara. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, limits apply only to the extent allowed.
Changes
We may update these terms. The new Effective date will be posted here. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Not a Substitute for Professional Help
Notara is a tool for documentation. It is not a substitute for legal advice, law enforcement, crisis services, or medical care. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or trusted crisis lines in your area.
